HOW IT WORKS

Upon completion of the Parent Intake Questionnaire, NMA will pair you with a counselor with a similar background and/or experience(s) (if applicable). For example, a parent with twins will be paired with a counselor who has had twins; a parent planning to return to work full-time will be paired with a counselor who has returned to work full-time, etc.
Prenatal (if applicable)- your counselor will schedule a minimum of one prenatal session with you. If there are additional questions, texting is acceptable, or your milk mate may suggest a second prenatal call.
First Week of Life (if applicable) – you will be responsible for notifying your counselor of the baby’s arrival. If you have any questions or concerns after the baby is born, ask! This is what we are here for! Your counselor is available via text or phone call at a time convenient for you to chat.
Weekly (up through 6 weeks of age) – you will work with your counselor to schedule a weekly call. During this time, your counselor can address any questions, concerns, or offer suggestions related to being a new parent, infant feeding, sleep, etc.
Monthly (from 6 weeks to 6 months of age) – your counselor will schedule a monthly call. During this time, your counselor can address any questions, concerns, or suggestions related to infant feeding and other parenting topics.
